The International Mersey River Festival

Three days of ships, stages and things for all ages:  13- 15 June 2014 . This was my first weekend here. The  word which express this city is LIFE for me. SO many peple, so many attractions, so many things to do.
I visited first ships festival ever. Entertainment on the river and sea- yacht racing, canoe polo, zap cat racing on the river, raft race and much more fun for fans of water sports.
Flyboarding - new watersport catched my heart and create in me an obsession to try it. Imagine that you can dives like a dolphin, fly like a bird and just be you with yourself, be strong and absolutely concentrated for the moment... mabye it´s just my vision of this.

The Beatles story

I am the lucky girl. In every I lived in I have friends, this is very important, because they help you in the beginnings. I would like to see every corner in the city and Beatles museum as one of the biggest attraction as well. One friend of mine gave me a ticket to this museum, because when you buy a ticket, you can use it for 2 days. Maybe this is a way how make your ticket cheaper- when a few people buy tickets together and use them twice after first group ;)

Never forgot audio guides with exciting stories from life of Beatles. Great photos, details about this group. But you must be prepared for sooo many people. There is Yellow Submarine, Beatlemania area, great music which take you back in the days and create atmosphere where you will regret you didn´t live in the Beatles era.

Liverpool

This is my first week in Liverpool. I´m going to spend whole my summer here but I´m almost without money, so I will show you places, which you can explore without wasting any pence.

1. Merseyside Maritime Museum
I was never been a big fan of Titanic movie, but history of Titanic is part of Liverpool´s  history. There is a model of Titanic, Lusitania and the Forgotten Empress. Very interesting ware collections of item from the wreck and letters from passangers, videos of ships or speaking of people who worked there. If you are or aren´t a fan of Titanic movie, this doesn´t matter, is great to go there and maybe just compare the movie and real story.
Free entry
10.00am - 5.00pm

2. International Slavery Museum
This museum is situated in the building of the Merseyside Maritime Museum. It was perhaps the strongest exhibition in the museum of my life. Exhibitions show transatlantic slavery, cruel history, years of ignorance and closed eyes to inhumanity. Many statemants of people who survived these years open your eyes and hearts. This is experience indeed.
Free entry

3. Museum of Liverpool
Interior Design
Do you really want to visit Liverpool and leave him just with knowledge that here is famous football team ? NO!
If you want to truly enjoy the city, you need to know him and understand.
Culture, history, music, sports, Liverpools people, geography and everything important is there. Just expore it and feel it. Old machines, trains, animals, exports and imports, important articles for the city are there very carefully explain.
There is part in every exhibition for learning or challange your knowledge by games.

For Beatles fans or Liverpool football fans there is also zone on the highest floor.
The city is very proud of his history and you can see it in this museum. And there is a nice view from floor.
